Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Course Review

Affiliate marketing can be a great way to monetize your blog, if you know how to do it the right way.

If you’re not sure what affiliate marketing is or aren’t getting the results (or income) you want from your affiliate marketing campaigns, then Michelle Schroeder-Gardner’s course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing might be just what you need to get started.

Before taking Michelle’s course, I thought I had a decent grasp on how affiliate marketing works, and already had affiliate links scattered all throughout my blog posts. But not surprisingly, I wasn’t seeing the dollars roll in every month.

Unsure why my (lazy) affiliate marketing attempts weren’t successfully making me 6 figures per month, I decided to purchase the course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing.

After taking the course, I quickly realized the things I had been doing wrong and how to improve my affiliate marketing efforts, and even made my first affiliate sale the next month.

Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Course Overview

The course contains 6 Modules, plus a Bonus Module packed with helpful extras at the end.

Pros of Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing

  • Good step by step breakdown and intro to affiliate marketing for beginners.
  • Short: I devoured the whole course in one day. I like that Michelle doesn’t include a bunch of fluff just to fill the course. It is short and sweet and cuts straight to the point.
  • Michelle includes screenshots all throughout the course with actual proof of her traffic, income, etc.
  • She doesn’t encourage spammy methods of promoting your affiliate links. Michelle goes into detail about knowing the right products to promote to your audience and the best ways to engage, promote, and convert sales.
  • Price – At $197, the course might be a little costly for some beginners. That said, I have seen and taken other courses that are far more expensive (ranging anywhere from $397-$5,000) from people who aren’t half as successful as Michelle has been. So personally, I’m willing to pay a little more for an instructional course from an expert who I know has put in the work and been so successful in this field. In my opinion, this course is well worth the money.
  • Course Facebook Group – One of the bonuses included in the course is access to the private Facebook group, which can be a helpful resource for questions and support. Michelle even hosts weekly threads and personally answers questions, which is pretty impressive to have that kind of personal access to such a successful blogging influencer. I mean…her blog Making Sense of Cents makes 6 figures a MONTH!

Cons of Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing

  • No video – the course is mostly text based (other than 1-2 bonus sections at the end). I didn’t mind the text format, since I was able to quickly read through all of the information quickly. Still, a little more video content or screen sharing would have added some extra value in my opinion.
  • Not for more experienced or advanced bloggers. The content is good, but honestly is mostly pretty basic beginner level info and nothing mind-blowing or super advanced.

Is Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing worth buying?

In my opinion, definitely.

If you have already taken other affiliate marketing courses or are already familiar with affiliate marketing, then this is probably not the course for you.

If you are a newbie, or even if you have been blogging for a little while but just haven’t been able to capitalize on affiliate marketing as an income source, this course is well worth the price.

Plus, Michelle offers a 30 day money-back guarantee…so you’ve really got nothing to lose.
